Barely three months into 2018 and brand new superyacht launches have swelled the charter market, representing builders from across the world and finished to the highest standards with designs ranging from laid-back, no-fuss chic to the temptingly opulent.
If you’re planning a holiday along the coast of the Mediterranean, among the islands of the Caribbean or to far-flung destinations such as Patagonia or the South Pacific, there might be a brand new 2018-launched superyacht with the very latest water toys and amenities to make your holiday an outstanding success.
December Six
Launched in January, 33m/108ft motor yacht DECEMBER SIX is one of the first brand new charter yachts of 2018 and represents the second hull in the Navetta series from Ferretti. Her sturdy, militaristic styling comes from Zuccon International while Sarah Leet produced her black and white interiors in conjunction with the shipyard.
Muted and minimalist, the interiors will appeal to charter groups looking for a clean and tranquil indoor environment where attention is concentrated on the guests and the occasion. There is plenty of space indoors, however the exterior relaxation areas are where DECEMBER SIX truly shines, offering an extensive upper deck for alfresco dining and observation. Take in the sunshine and sweeping forward views from the foredeck, or head up to the sundeck for the oversized armchairs and the deep forward Jacuzzi.
Accommodation: 12 guests: 1 Master suite, 2 double cabins, 2 convertible twin cabins
Crew: 6
Amenities: Approved RYA Water Sports Centre, Jacuzzi, air conditioning, wi-fi

Sugaray
From Ocean Alexander comes 34m/112ft superyacht SUGARAY, which features a contemporary interior styled by critically acclaimed Evan K Marshall. Outside, the upper deck has a removable canvas covering for shaded outdoor dining as guests savour a cocktail from the bar, then lie back on the sun loungers and soak up the sunshine. Ease tired muscles in the Jacuzzi while you take in uninterrupted views, then the occupants of the main deck Master suite can retire and take in 180° views of the night-time sky from the sofas or the comfortable bed.
