The Scorpion development department is always looking at ways of improving the ride as well as efficiency of the popular Scorpion hull. In 2011, the company launched the 9m Strike and Stealth, which incorporated a brand new twin step hull design, and lifted the bar, when it comes to hull performance and efficiency. This Scorpion technology is now being transferred to the brand new Serket 1080 superyacht tender.
Based on the iconic Scorpion Sting superyacht tender, the new Serket 1080 yacht tender is already setting new standards in tests. With a twin 350hp installation, outstanding ride and 60 knot+ performance is already a given; but this isn’t the whole story. The company’s aim is to produce a boat that is ‘all day comfortable’ at 35 knots without pushing engines and fuel consumption to the limit; and their final design with twin 300hp is designed to realise this ultimate goal.
At nearly 11m in length and 3.2m wide, the Serket 1080 mega yacht tender is the biggest Scorpion yet and is available in various deck configurations. This includes a new cabin version which will be announced at the London Boat Show next month.
Scorpion RIBs are delighted to already have orders for the new Serket 1080 luxury yacht tender for delivery in 2015.
