Fort Lauderdale, FL– Curtis Stokes & Associates has had an international presence since the company started and has recently enhanced their international reach with the addition of Bransom Bean as a new sales associate to be based in Isle of Man in the British Isles. He will be part of a widely experienced brokerage team with the ability to manage and service clients around the globe.
Bransom is a seasoned seafarer, author, and international executive whose work in the yachting community gives him unique opportunities to represent Curtis Stokes & Associates. As a Business Coach focusing on marine businesses, he helps individuals and entities identify and achieve their goals. Bransom says, “Now I will look forward to helping people I encounter along the way find their perfect yacht.”
Bransom’s maritime experience ranges from recreational power boating and sailing to serving as an Officer in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. In 1996/97 he raced in the BT Global Challenge, a 33,000 mile race, west about, under sail and south of both Cape Horn and the Cape of Good Hope as crew in Commercial Union Assurance. Among many impressive passagemaking experiences on Bransom’s resume, a significant achievement in his marine career is organizing and raising the requisite US$1 million sponsorship to fund the Isle of Man’s entry in the 2000/2001 BT Global Challenge, a project with 20 major sponsors he managed with the Isle of Man government.
A founder and first Executive Director of the U.S. Superyacht Association, he is also a member of the International Superyacht Society, the Professional Yachtsman Association, Boating Writer’s International, the Yachting Journalists’ Association, the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC), the Propeller Club, the US Navy League, the Merchant Navy Association, and the Submarine League.
Due to the economic crisis in the U.S. over the last two years, Curtis Stokes has used his experience marketing and selling yachts worldwide to continue to meet his client’s expectations by reaching potential buyers around the world. With an improving economic environment, Curtis sees a growing opportunity in the many countries in which his company’s clients live and cruise, and the European market is a major center of activity and opportunity. Bransom Bean will be based in his own home port of Isle of Man and will travel worldwide to bring new clients to Curtis Stokes & Associates.
“I appreciate Bransom’s business sense and the successes he encountered in launching and managing his businesses. He was sought after repeatedly in the business world and I expect that trend to continue as he networks in the yacht brokerage industry. He has an outgoing personality and has a strong commitment to the yachting industry as a whole. And, his Isle of Man base puts him on Europe’s doorstep,” says Curtis Stokes, President of Curtis Stokes & Associates.
