Another superyacht explorer yacht is currently under construction in Turkey. The reputable shipbuilder Vripack revealed details about the new explorer superyacht that is currently under construction at Evadne Yachts. “Rock” is the name of the new 24-metre vessel, which has a number of outstanding features.
The concept was described as an SUV yacht, which was created by Robin de Vries of Vripack. Rock boats Mastervolt Lithium-ion batteries, able to run air conditioning and stabilisers system for long hours, which makes her an incredible “green” yacht. Designed with a fast-displacement hull, motor yacht Rock will be able to reach a top speed of 16 knots, as she is powered by two CAT C12 engines at 1000ph. She can comfortably cruise at the speed of 12 knots with a Transatlantic range of 3000 nm.
With an overall length of 24 metres, this boat has 170 sqm interior space and 140 sqm exterior living. What is more, her interior layout will resemble a contemporary loft rather than a traditional style of yachts. Maple wood, soft fabrics, and other stunning design elements will be used in the creation of the interior styling. A total of 8 guests is accommodated aboard explorer yacht Rock.
Rock’s owner, Ali Sayakci commented on the superyacht project: “Last few decades mega yachts went into an adolescent race of length. While providing more space and comfort at the same time they probably are alienating the passengers from a connection to the sea and nature. For me, Vripack managed to pack a super yacht comfort and floor space in a moderate size while achieving an impressive speed.”
Rock will be ready for a launch in 2018.
