Now in its fourth year, By Tourist on the Sea has announced its new calendar of events for 2016, which will begin with an exclusive FAM trip on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Superyacht industry professionals, including charter brokers, captains, and the press are welcome to contact the By Tourist office for more information on the possibility to participate in the events.
The program, created by Luisa del Sorbo from By Tourist on the Sea, aims to promote and highlight the offerings of the Campania region in Italy when it comes to luxury yacht charter activities and cruising in this area.
As well as providing a full-immersion experience of the cultural and gastronomical excellence this region offers, By Tourist’s events provide a personal look at everything that the area can offer the superyacht industry including B2B and networking opportunities with leading companies operating in the sector, such as Luise Group, Palumbo Shipyard, Bulgari, Italian Yacht Masters, Le Agavi di Positano, Quattro Passi in Nerano, Palazzo Petrucci in Naples, the President of Pompeii, La Caravella of Amalfi, Da Paolino in Capri, Marina Molo Luise, Pastificio Leonessa and Plaghia Charter. In addition, an experienced team from the culinary world and five-star hospitality will present the opportunities available for yacht owners or charter guests.
This exclusive event is not open to the public. Fourteen international charter brokers will have the opportunity to experience first-hand, the possibilities that can be organized for owners and their guests. In addition, six journalists from the USA, UK, and Europe will be present. Welcoming them on the 6th of May will be the two star Michelin chef Antonio Mellino from the famed Quattro Passi restaurant in Nerano with an exclusive dinner. The five-star hotel Le Agavi di Positano will host the group where on May 7th, leading luxury companies will also be able to meet the participants.
Numerous touristic ports will be included in the exclusive itinerary, such as the Lacco Ameno, Yachting Santa Margherita in Procida and Marina Molo Luise in Naples to name a few. The visit will continue with a cruise on the gullet Silver Star towards Capri where attendees will have the opportunity to visit some of the most prestigious boutiques in the area, including Bulgari, followed by a lunch at Paolino in the midst of the citrus groves overlooking the gulf. Towards the evening, the group will cruise towards Amalfi, the antique maritime republic, for a private visit to an art gallery curated by Antonio Dipino of the restaurant La Caravella. The event concludes on the 8th of May with a cruise through the protected area of Punta Campanella and a visit to the Medieval Castel of Castellamare of Stabia. Following lunch at Palazzo Petrucci in Naples will be visits to Marina Molo Luise at Mergellina, the Palumbo Shipyard and a private event “Bulgari & Champagne” at the brand’s flagship location with Michelin star chef Paolo Gramaglia from the eatery President.
Another very exciting event will be organised later in the year, organised in collaboration with strategic partners, including the Italian Yacht Masters. This event will take place from November 7th to the 10th in Naples and will be aimed at captains only. The participating captains will have the opportunity to receive specialised training along with seminars that will explain new fiscal and cruising regulations throughout Italy and in particular in the Campania region. Furthermore, they will have the possibility to experience the best the area has to offer for their owners and guests.
