The Marina Industries Association (MIA), supported by its Awards partner Club Marine Insurance, is making one last call for marina award entries from luxury yacht marinas anywhere in the world. The MIA Marina Awards recognize global excellence as well as leadership across the marina industries and provide valuable benchmarks for industry and the wider community.
The Awards are open to both MIA members and non-members. The best International Marina category last attracted entries from across the globe including Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia. The 2013/14 winner in this keenly contested category was Marina at Keppel Bay Singapore. The 2015/16 Award winner and finalists will be announced at the marine15 International and Trade Exhibition 3 – 5 May on the Australian Gold Coast.
MIA President Andrew Chapman said Awards participation has grown strongly over the past eight years. “As the status of the Awards has built so has participation. Winners and finalists have also got better at promoting their achievements and this in turn is encouraging more businesses to enter as they can see the promotional benefits the awards deliver”.
MIA Executive Officer said entry was not a difficult process. “Much of the assessment is done post the entries being received using a range of “data gathering assessment tools. We are expecting this prestigious Award category will attract a record number of entries.”
As well as the international category there are 15 other categories including categories for businesses supplying goods and services to marinas.
Award applications are purely on-line with strict limits on the size of entries to keep the process manageable for entrants. The last day to register entry is 12th December 2014 and all submissions must be received by the MIA by C.O.B. 19th December 2014. Entrants can find all the information needed to enter on the MIA web site.
