Canados Yachts has given a technical launch for the first hull in the CANADOS 888 EVO series from its Ostia shipyard in Italy.
The 27m/88.6ft luxury yacht will succeed the current CANADOS 86, of which 46 hulls have been made to date. An Aramat/Kevlar hull and superstructure provide her durable and modern appearance, which uses a low transom and wide swim platform to create an additional sunbathing area while also ensuring that guests on the main deck aft receive uninterrupted views.
The interiors can be customised as the Owner desires, with a range of Poltrona Frau leathers, woods and semi-precious stone surfaces to select from. The first hull will use American walnut woodwork, Strato Olympico marble and white china lacquer with accommodation for eight guests and a crew of three.
A pair of Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines produces a cruising speed of 28 knots with a range of 380 nautical miles and a top speed of 32 knots.
Using a 6.4m/21ft beam and a draft of 2m/6.5ft for accessing shallow and secluded natural anchorages, the CANADOS 888 EVO is a versatile luxury yacht perfectly designed for exploring and entertaining close groups. The Owner will formally launch the new CANADOS 888 EVO on the 9th of July, followed by her first cruise through the Mediterranean.
