Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has announced the launch of the Flexplorer 146 explorer yacht MAVERICK, the first of the three yachts of this series currently under construction. Featuring exterior design, engineering and naval architecture by Hydro Tec with interiors by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini, Maverick has a customised layout with many unique features.
Amongst the main features of the 44,3 m (145’3”), yacht is the custom-built A-frame crane, collapsible bulwark, 22mm thick Ice belt at water line level that allows her to sail in icy waters. Furthermore, she is equipped with a 9.5m custom tender designed by Valerio Rivellini as well as a great selection of water toys that can be launched thanks to a powerful A-Frame crane.
Guests aboard will enjoy the on-deck swimming pool at transom which can transform into a storage for deck furniture when underway.
Her main deck interior is characterised by an asymmetric layout with the saloon area on starboard, leaving a passageway on the port side to allow for easy service by the crew. The interior showcases luxury combined with functionality, elegance and comfort boasting a neutral colour palette and distinctive personal style with features focusing on family lifestyle.
Huge windows flood allows for plenty of light to penetrate the interiors, creating a calm ambience that’s both practical and aesthetically pleasing. The Owner Deck, Main Deck, and Lower Deck each have their own ‘personality’, providing a one-of-a-kind experience for the guests on board.
She was built with a robust steel hull and aluminium superstructure, at 44.30m, with a beam of 8.60m, and she has a displacement of 460 tonnes at full load. Fuel tanks have a capacity of 64,436 litres and the yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar engines C32 delivering 970kW each at 1800-2100rpm, reaching a top speed of 14 knots and an excellent range of above 5,000nm at 10 knots.
