Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has announced the successful launch of PROJECT 130, now named luxury yacht RJ 130.
Constructed in steel and aluminium, the 40m/129.3ft RJ 130 is an explorer yacht with interiors and exteriors by renowned designer Francesco Paszkowski, while the naval architecture comes from Hydro Tec. She is the first of the RJ range, with two more hulls sold and currently under construction at the Ancona facilities. They are currently known as RJ115-28 and RJ115-29.
The ‘go anywhere, do anything’ expedition yacht is designed with logistics and seamless functionality and liveability in mind, with an abundance of indoor and outdoor social areas to make the most of every location, while all of life’s little luxuries (and more) await inside the striking monochrome living spaces. The accommodation provides for up to 12 guests overnight in 5 en-suite cabins, plus 4 cabins to sleep a crew of 7.
The twin MTU 10V 2000 M72 engines give 900 kW and 2,250 rpm for a top speed of 14.5 knots and an extensive cruising range of 5,500 nautical miles at an economical 9 knots, and approximately 10% of the fuel is still unused after such an exhaustive journey.
Full interior and exterior outfitting have been completed ahead of her launch, and more images are expected shortly.
