During the International Jet Sport Boating Association (IJSBA) 2013 Hot Products World Finals, taking place in Lake Havasu, Arizona, USA, until October 13, Gibbs Sports Amphibians (Gibbs) proudly announced that it has received approval from California Air Resources Board (CARB).
The Gibbs superyacht toy Quadski is the world’s first personal High Speed Amphibian. The technology that went into its creation took 15 years and over $200 million to develop. It can go 45 mph on both land and water and can transition between the two modes in less than 5 seconds.
CARB approval allows the Quadski yacht toy to be sold in California, which is anticipated to be one of the larger markets in the USA. Select dealers from California and the west coast have been invited to see the Quadski at the IJSBA event this week.
Neil Jenkins, chairman of Gibbs Sports Amphibians commented, “Achieving CARB approval is another step towards achieving our goal of having quality dealerships covering the USA by the end of 2014. California is potentially one of the biggest markets for Quadski within the USA.”
“California is a great place for the Quadski,” said Alan Gibbs, founder of Gibbs Sports Amphibians. “With the right business partners, who are enthusiastic about High Speed Amphibians and are able to meet the levels of customer, and technical, service expected, we can make a big impression on the market there.”
Gibbs will be displaying its Quadski in Performance Alley with its first dealer RIVA Motorsports. RIVA has had a very successful year with Quadski yacht toy and will have its dedicated sales team on hand to answer questions and take retail orders.
