The New Catana 59 Sailing Catamaran is at the cutting edge of yacht racing innovation…
The Catana 59 yacht, the latest release from the Catana shipyard, is a revolutionary concept in recreational catamarans. It reflects Catana’s determination to strive for even better performance, with a host of innovations from the world of racing. Some of the most outstanding examples are the curved daggerboards for a hydrofoil effect, a sail plan with a short mainsail that is easy to handle, larger headsails, reverse bows and straight hulls, as found on many multihull racing vessels. Never has a recreational catamaran moved so fast.

Catana is one of the very few recreational boat shipyards in the world to use carbon fiber in the construction of cruising catamarans. This makes the boat much more resistant and considerably lighter. The result: a highly responsive boat that moves faster through the water.
The Twaron Impact process combines rigidity, lightness and mechanical resistance, using premium quality aramid fiber. Also used in the aeronautical industry, aramid fiber is 10 times more resistant to perforation than traditional fiberglass.
Catana are the only catamarans able to deliver an exceptional level of comfort as well as excellent performance. In fact, the hulls were specically designed with these two elements in mind. Even with a refrigerator, freezer, watermaker, generator, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, wine cellar, television, air-conditioning, heating, diving compressor and other equiment, the boat still moves through the water at over 20 knots!
