At high water in the afternoon of Sunday 3 June 2012, up to a thousand boats muster on the River Thames in preparation for Her Majesty The Queen to lead the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. It will be one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the river. The 47.21m replica schooner Y105 has been launched by the Spanish shipyard Factoria Naval Marin (FNM) at their shipyard in Marin over the weekend. The FNM yacht Y105 is a replica of sailing yacht Germania, the schooner designed in 1908 by Max Oertz for the German Kaiser Wilhelm II. Going above and beyond standard regulations to accommodate students with physical disabilities, Oliver Hazard Perry Rhode Island (OHPRI) has appointed Robie Pierce (Newport, R.I.) the Accessibility Director for Rhode Island’s Education at Sea school ship SSV Oliver Hazard Perry.
