Yacht design is the sometimes unheralded heart of the luxury yacht industry as this is where a large custom yacht begins her journey from conception to eventual launch and navigation.

CharterWorld keeps informed of the latest ideas, designs and technology in yachting as a pointer to where the yachting industry is heading. Heesen Yachts have launched motor yacht Quinta Essentia - a 55m superyacht. The newest superyacht from Heesen’s Yard in Holland had an official launching ceremony on Friday the 11th of March 2011. The 46m Ron Holland ketch, Sailing yacht Christopher took to the waters of Falmouth Bay for her final sea trials in mid February.
