CCN YACHTS has released an update on the current progress of 68m/223ft expedition yacht DAYS: The steel and aluminium hull has been completed, along with all tank connection lines and 30% of the plumbing. Outfitting of all hot works is also done, and grid blasting and primer painting are proceeding as planned.
The first in the CCN ICE YACHTS range, M/Y DAYS is being built in collaboration with AES Yachts of Turkey. Another Turkish company, Endaze Marine Engineering, will design her naval architecture, while Italian designers Hot Lab will create her exterior and interior design, making a bespoke interior for the private client.
Across, 2 1/2 decks, the average headroom will be 2.7m and with a beam of 13m, the internal volumes will be greater than 1,800 GRT.
“These volumes are one of the biggest strengths of M/Y DAYS”, Antonio Romano of HOT LAB commented. “Interior headroom on the main and upper decks reaches 2.7 meters. Full height windows emphasise spaces and create a direct rapport to the exterior environment.”
The minimalist interiors will use pale wood and texture to create a warm and welcoming environment on trend with current design aesthetic. Designed with volume and function in mind, M/Y DAYS has plenty of other features on board:
- The tender garage will have enough space to hold a 9m custom tender and an 8m custom tender, while also leaving enough room for an expansive beach club.
- The foredeck has been designed with a helipad.
- The superyacht will be used for both leisure and business and to ensure the owner’s privacy the skylounge and conference room can be privately accessed.
Sleeping 12 people, the entirety of the upper deck will be dedicated to the owner, while the guest area is located on the main deck and consists of 3 VIP staterooms that will have access to a gym and a massage room. The crew area is located on the lower deck and is designed to accommodate up to 18 staff.
Delivery of explorer yacht DAYS, the first in the Ice Yacht range from CCN YACHTS, is expected within the last quarter of 2018.
