The formation of this partnership is in response to the rapid increase in demand for GO2 since it was first launched into the superyacht market at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2011. GO2 Global Yachting will be led by Richard Franklin, Managing Director of ECOsuperyacht.
Landon Mertz, General Manager of Cerion Energy states: “The reception for GO2 since we first introduced it to the superyacht market has been tremendous. It quickly became evident that we needed to significantly expand our resource commitment if we’re going to keep up with growth in customer demand. To maintain our commitment to rapid response times in key yachting destinations GO2 Global Yachting will have local distribution points in key locations such as Fort Lauderdale, St Maarten, Antigua, Gibraltar, Palma and Antibes as a well as central shipping and logistics centres in Rochester, New York for the US and Southampton, UK, for Europe. Richard Franklin and his team at ECOSuperyacht had the foresight to understand how transformative GO2 could be for the yachting industry, as it has been in the commercial sector. I look forward to working together with Richard on this exciting new venture.”
Richard Franklin of ECOsuperyacht says: “We are very excited about this new venture. It enables us to respond to the rising demand for GO2 with a rapid expansion in resources on both sides of the Atlantic. The goal is to provide a seamless global sales & distribution business that can get GO2 to customers quickly and efficiently anywhere in the world, and also to extend sales of GO2 into new areas of the yachting market. We look forward to deepening our existing relationship with Cerion Energy and to seeing current strong sales growth continue through 2012 and beyond as we add to our growing list of superyacht customers.”
