The speakers of the upcoming China Yachting Conference 2014 have been unveiled. The event will run on October 17 and 18 in Nansha, Guangzhou, China. With more than 20 invited Industry Experts, today the organizers are delighted to present Mr. Yang Xinfa and Mr. Peter Jansen.
Speaker: Yang Xinfa, Chairman of China Boat Industry & Trade Association (CBITA) , China
Tentative Topic: Chinese Yacht Manufacturing Overview
Bio: The graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Mr. Yang Xinfa has more than 46 years of work experience in boat design and manufactoring, enterprise management and technology planning. From 1985 to 2000 he was concurrently holding positions of Vice-Chairman and Secretary General in Shanghai Association of Shipbuilding Industry (SASIC). From 2000 till now, Mr. Yang has occupied the position of Vice Secretary General in China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry as well as he has been carrying out the duties of the Chairman of China Boat Industry and Trade Association.
In 1996 Mr. Yang initiated the idea of organizing the first session of China International Boat Show (Shanghai), which was successfully implemented into life and has been held on annual basis since then. Starting from the same year, in cooperation with Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA, UK), 19 sessions of “High Performance Marina Vechicals Conference” (HPMV) as well as 14 sessions of “China International Yacht Economy and Sight Water System Development Forum” have been successionaly carried out. Mr. Yang has written and published a series of research papers and reports; he is the author of “The Summarized Report On China Yacht Industry Development” , “World Yacht Industry Development Report”, etc.
Central and local government entrusted Mr. Yang to supervise and carry out a range of important research projects, organize consultancy services on yacht industry development technologies in major cities and provincies of China, as well as to project the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th 5 year-plans of Shipbuilding Industry Development Plan.
Speaker: Peter Jansen, International Marinas Group (IMG) Honorary Secretary
Tentative Topic: The essentials of marina masterplanning
Bio: Peter studied Architecture at the Technical University RWTH in Germany until 1991, after which he started working at INPRO Project-Development Inc., specialized in development of marinas and waterfront resorts. In 1992 he transitioned to A. Möhring, Düsseldorf, where he became manager of the planning department with further focus on Marinas.
After four years of employment he established Jansen Architects, Architecture and Urban Development, Düsseldorf in 1995, nowadays acting as JANSEN PROJECT CONSULTING Architects Consultants.
In 2001 he gained his PhD with the topic “Elements of planning regarding settlements and buildings at inland waters, special subject to boat sport oriented river development”.
2002 the subsidiary company urban aqua was established for water sport concepts and facility programs, waterfront developments and master planning, finance analysis of marinas, water sport centers and ocean parks.
He is member of the German Marine Federation and the German Harbor Technical Society, secretary of ICOMIA International Marinas Group, member of the Recreational Committee of PIANC. He is accredited expert for “Blue Star Certification” from IMCI International Certification Institute for Marinas.
