Sunreef’s latest launch, the lovely Sunreef 74 sailing catamaran LUCY Z (LZ) is a brand new, state-of-the-art vessel with the heart of an oldie. Mixing up all the advantages of a large, freshly-built catamaran with the spirit of a classy traditional yacht, sailing yacht LUCY Z represents the hull number 4 of the sleek Sunreef 74 line, unveiled only about a year ago.
Boasting generous living space, stability, shallow draft and cutting edge gear, Sunreef 74 yacht LUCY Z is a result of a close collaboration between the yard’s in-house design office lead by its Director – Joanna Szulc and Dana Avriel – designer and architect appointed by the Client for this amazing project.
Luxury yacht LUCY Z stands out for her dark grey hull. As Dana Avriel explains: “The reason for this particular color choice was to keep the boat’s exterior feel in sync with nature and give the hulls a gentle tone somewhat reminiscent of seaweed and the oceans’ depths.” The same principle applies to the vessel’s superstructure. The light grey found there is coincident with the greys of the skies so as to keep the yacht in visual unity with the elements.
The flybridge of Lucy Z yacht is fully covered in teak and hosts a navigation station with a beautifully finished classic wooden dashboard and steering wheel. The vast sundeck overlooks a generous deck and cockpit, again, fully teak-finished for a timeless and authentic look.
Entirely clad in elegant dark wood, the striking interiors of Sunreef 74 yacht LUCY Z boast a finishing inspired from classic yacht designs with navy-marine upholstery and bed linings mixed up with brass décor elements. Joanna Szulc – at the helm of the yard’s in-house design office – explains that the creative process behind LUCY Z involved quite a lot of focus on the materials used. “The idea was to implement a soothing interior design bringing to mind the all-time yacht classics on a modern boat. To do so, we put extra focus on the materials, selecting the finest wood for the floors and premium upholstery. We also worked with authentic XIX century lamps, provided by the Owner and adapted them to the electrical system.”
Entered from LUCY Z yacht’s massive cockpit, the light and airy saloon with its panoramic windows boasts one of the many exceptional features aboard this beautiful catamaran, including an upright acoustic Yamaha piano installed in the front part of the room. LUCY Z can easily host an amazing number of guests with her spacious 12-seat table, a set of 2 poufs and widespread sofa. She is the perfect vessel for banquets with her generous wine cooler placed at hand just next to the piano. Guests on board can enjoy more entertainment with the pop-up TV in front of the large sofa.
Ideal for lengthy cruises with friends and family, the lovely accommodation aboard LUCY Z yacht includes a beautiful Owner’s cabin at starboard, featuring a 200×200 elevated bed, with a mahogany finished platform that can be used as storage. There is also a sofa and bookshelves, as well as a stylish bathroom, positioned just next to a massive wardrobe. Moreover, facing the dressing area is a large make-up desk with drawers.
The starboard VIP cabin is fitted with a large double bed, a wardrobe and a desk fitted with a mirror. Portside there is the LUCY Z yacht’s second VIP cabin, providing the same level of comfort. One of the vessel’s convenient features is the day head easily accessed from the saloon. The portside crew cabin can comfortably accommodate three crew members on two single beds and an additional Pullman. The cabin’s en-suite bathroom is accessed through a sliding door. Additional accommodation for crew is also available in the forepeaks.
Both the flybridge as well as cockpit of Sunreef 74 luxury yacht LUCY Z provide an amazing al-fresco dining and lounging. The sundeck offers a large dining table with adjustable height, while the cockpit is fitted with a dining teak table, a fridge, ice maker and a sink. Near the saloon entrance, a small coffee table is positioned to enjoy time outside on the L-shaped cockpit sofa.
