N.R. Koeling is one of the world’s premier manufacturers of air conditioning systems for luxury yachts ranging from 35 to 85 metres and larger. Founded in 1971, the company has gained experience in the design, implementation and building of simple to advanced and complicated installations over the last 40 years.
N.R. Koeling recently approached AirManager Marine who specialize in air sterilization and filtration systems for yachts looking for a suitable system to integrate into their equipment for new build and refit projects.
NRKs Sales Engineer for HVAC and Refrigeration, René van Herpen , first heard about AirManager during last year’s METS trade show and was very keen to integrate the two systems. “Our combined technologies will deliver unrivalled air quality; I am very excited to offer this new enhancement to our clients. We have been searching for a solution which will kill germs and reduce odours at the higher air speeds our systems are capable of delivering.” says René. “It also
reduces the back pressure in comparison with standard filter types and therefore saves energy which helps us in our innovating quest to make the HVAC system on yachts more “green.”
The first dual technology project is in development, with the vessels launch scheduled for the middle of 2012 where total of 8 air handler units and 9 exhaust vent ducts will be fitted with custom made AirManager equipment.
NRK and AirManager Marine introduced their new partnership at the Monaco Yacht Show, and will also feature at the FLIBS and METS.
