The Columbus 199′ yacht is a Luxury Yacht which length over all is 60.7 meters an her maximum beam is 10.2 meters. The hull is made of steel and superstructures of light alloy to shorten weight and granting high stability standards. The hull is round displacement type with bulge and transom stern.
Propulsion power is provided by two diesel engines type MTU 16V 4000 M60 developing 1760 kW at 1800 rpm, each one coupled to the shaft line through a ZF reduction gear.
The propulsion is delivered by two fixed pitch propellers with five blades which thrust assures 18 knots as maximum continuous speed. The Yacht will be equipped with a twin spade high lift rudder plant, and low speed steering will be assisted by a bow thrusters.
The comfort during navigation on the Columbus 199 is granted by four stabilizers fins to provide active roll reduction both in under way and “at anchor” condition. The electric power required for ship service will provided by two diesel generators (2×200 kW) and an emergency diesel generator (100 kW).
General Arrangement and interior design is by Design Studio Spadolini.
