Columbus Yachts have announced the launch of 43m (141’) motor yacht NIGHT FURY II, the first of three Atlantique models to be delivered by the summer. The ceremony took place on a beautiful sunny day at the shipyard in Ancona, Italy and was attended by the owner and his family.
Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, her naval architecture is from Palumbo Superyachts (the parent company of Columbus Yachts) in collaboration with Hydro Tec. The exterior and interior are from Hot Lab who have created external lines reminiscent of a shell with no sharp edges or angles. She was designed with the owner and his family in mind and offers generous external spaces which effortlessly blend into the internal living space – maintaining the connection with the surroundings.
Her ’sailing-type’ stern boasts a central swimming pool surrounded by a sofa set into a beach club which is just 50cm above sea level. Two fold-out wings add extra space and create a perception of being in direct contact with the water.
Accommodation is across five suites including a main deck master and four lower deck guest suites, all with ensuite bathrooms.
The 5.5m tender is stored at the stern where the starboard side garage is. An area has been dedicated to the second tender (rescue boat) and two jet skis, at the main deck forward.
Powered by 2 Cat C32 Acert of 970kW, luxury yacht NIGHT FURY II can reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14.5 knots.
