Italian shipyard Cerri Cantieri Navali has posted a construction update on the 37m/122ft luxury yacht DOM123, this first in a new series of DOM superyachts.
Currently, the hull structure has been turned on its side within the shed to complete its construction.
Designed by Stefano Vafiadis with a young owner in mind, motor yacht DOM123 offers modern comforts and facilities with naval architecture designed for stability while at sea: The bulbous hull is tested by Brodarsky Institute of Zagreb to ensure excellent performance while at sea.
Twin MTU 16V2000M96L engines producing 1,939 kW will provide her cruising speed of 21 knots with a cruising speed of 18 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
The layout on board places beach club in the stern that can be accessed once the transom door folds down and becomes the swim platform. The tender is stored in a side-loading garage, while larger motorised water toys are stored on the bow.
A salon on the main deck with a formal dining area to seat 10, while on the upper deck the sky lounge can be converted into a cinema. Alfresco dining out through the glass sliding doors provides seating for 10-12 guests, while up on the sundeck there is a large spa tub for guests to soak in while taking in sweeping views.
The crew accommodation is placed on the lower deck along with a mess and laundry room, with the Captain’s cabin on the upper deck. Full-sized pantries can be found on the main deck and upper deck for efficient service.
M/Y DOM123 is on schedule for a delivery in summer 2020.
