Based in Frankfurt am Main, the German commercial law firm, CPS Schliessmann Wirtschaftsanwaelte, with a specialised yacht department ‘TheYachtAttorney‘, has successfully counselled and accompanied the entire transaction of a 56m Perini Navi sailing yacht SELENE (ex PARSIFAL IV) in all legal and tax matters from negotiation purchase contract to flagging in Malta via an individual and complex holding structure. The exclusive and majestic 56m Perini Navi superyacht was delivered to her owner last month.
The premium flag of Malta offers broad benefits for private super yachts. Due to substantial changes in legislation at EU and national levels of EU Member States, entirely new individual structures had to be designed for Malta-Schemes to meet changed legal and tax requirements.
Prof. Dr. Christoph Schliessmann is specializing in assisting owners and manufacturers of private superyachts. In the first half of 2014 he supervised eight large yacht transactions.
