Alison Rentoul, The Crew Coach, will speak at the next month’s Quaynote Communications Conference, running in the lovely Palma yacht charter location on May 1, 2015. Alison will be one of the presenters during the day themed as ‘The Future for Superyacht Captains and Crew’.
Alison will be joining the 12:30pm panel on the subject of ‘Duty of Care’, together with Captain Roger Towner of the MCA, John Wyborne of Bluewater, as well as Ken Hickling of the ISS. Matters for discussion will comprise the state of current regulation and compliance, and whether yacht owners and managers are presently meeting their obligations to captains and crew.
“I am delighted to be joining this panel of experts on a topic that is very close to my heart : the overall protection of crew interests in the pursuit of professional and enjoyable workplaces in yachting,” Alison says.
The day’s program will come to an end with a round table question and answer discussion, in which Alison will show her expertise as a yachting career guidance expert. Alison will play a host to a round table discussion on the topic of interviewing for interviewers.
To take place alongside the Palma Superyacht Show, the three-day Quaynote Superyacht Conference will feature a range of interesting topics from refit management, interior design and project management to STCW and MLC compliance and crew career development.
