CRN one of the world’s top manufacturers of customised, over 40m, pleasure ships will launch the motor yacht Lady Trudy and the yacht CRN 130 this week. The event will take place in the presence of the ship owners and the shipyard workers.
Two launchings in less than a week is an uncommon event for a shipyard specializing in pleasure ship, but this is exactly what CRN, the shipyard and the brand of the Ferretti Group has done, confirming the quality of its industrial production and the strength of its business model.
The launch of the two CRN megayachts will take place:

The two launchings will take place in the presence of the ship owners and the shipyard workers. Therefore, two private events, but nonetheless significant from both the industrial and the emotional aspect.
An important event that shows the constant manufacturing activity of the shipyard as regards the construction of big boats, as Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman of CRN S.p.A. and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of the Ferretti Group commented “These launchings are a further example of quality and continuity of the CRN shipyard within the nautical world context which has unfortunately been downsized in recent years. This is thanks to the hard work of the Shipyard workers and the drive given by the Ferretti Group.
Both Ships represent the innovative spirit of the Shipyard that distinguishes itself through creativity and flexibility. These are our strengths: the ability to be alert and our availability, the ability and willingness to understand and satisfy the needs of a demanding Client who wants to realize an important project with us. We will continue to keep the Product and the Client at the centre of our work”.
At the moment the CRN shipyard is constructing 8 pleasure ships with the CRN brand: 5 steel and aluminum ships (CRN 129 80 metres, CRN 125 58 metres, CRN 130 60 metres and 133 60 metres, CRN 128 60 metres at the quay to be delivered in spring) and 3 composite mega yachts (two 43 metre displacement Navetta and a 40 metre semi-planning CRN 128’ ), as well as 7 yachts with the brand Custom Line, reflecting the continuous growth of the CRN shipyard, which is constantly evolving.
CRN NAVETTA 43 – Motor Yacht “LADY TRUDY” – 43 metres
The motor yacht ‘Lady Trudy’ is a composite displacement navetta, the sixth hull of the Navetta 43 line.
The boat, which is 43m long and 8.6m wide, can easily accommodate 10 passengers in five guest cabins and 9 crew members with the maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, pushed by two CATERPILLAR C32-C engines,
Superyacht Lady Trudy was built in collaboration with the architects of Zuccon International Project Studio, that has taken care of the exterior and interior layout.
It is characterized by its large volumes and wide outdoor areas, such as the covered cockpits of the main deck and the upper deck, which open into the Majestic grey “pearl effect” hull.
Equipped with four decks and a bulbous hull, it has been entirely built at the CRN premises, that checked every phase of the productive process, the realization of the moulds as well as the lamination of the hull, up to its furnishing and decoration.
A distinctive feature of this ship and the rest of the CRN fleet, is the terrace of the master suite which is set up as a “balcony” with a coffee table and armchairs for breakfast, to be enjoyed while sailing.
Some structural modification have been made to the sun deck of this boat. It has been elongated at the stern to make space for a helicopter landing pad.
Among the peculiarities of this mega yacht are certainly the interiors, which are finely furnished, representing a plunge into the American colonial sphere, with a touch of the romantic “Hampton Style”, where the owner and his guests can enjoy every comfort.
The large fitness area at the stern also has a great impact. It almost overlooks the “little beach” close to the sea at the stern, a distinctive feature of CRN and a “must have” for the clients who are given the possibility to experience and have direct contact with the sea.
Moreover, the motoryacht Lady Trudy is supported by an innovative, integrated entertainment system. An info and domotics system, called “myOlos”, developed through the partnership of the shipyard, Videoworks and Intel to obtain on board functionality and a more user-friendly technology for the Clients of CRN. Through an iPod, this system manages and controls all the entertainment functions – including audio and video on demand – air-conditioning, on board monitoring, lighting and curtains.
The seventh hull of a successful line, this mega yacht Lady Trudy is a masterpiece of design and the made in Italy by CRN.
Motor Yacht CRN 130 of 60 metres
The elongated streamlined profile and the imposing cream-coloured hull, strongly characterizes this 60 metre leisure boat, hull number 130 of the shipyard, made of steel and aluminium, and commissioned to CRN by a European ship owner.
The slim and sleek bow and the imposing volumes with wide spaces overlooking the sea characterize this mega yacht CRN130, whose external lines bear the signature of Zuccon International Project Studio, that worked in close collaboration with the technical office of CRN, while the interior design was taken care of by architects Alexandre and Cristina Negoescu.
CRN Hull 130 yacht was built on a naval platform of 10.20 metres, the same used for other famous boats such as the CRN 126 “Blue Eyes” and CRN 128, both of 60 metres. The same philosophy and technological innovations are found in the open spaces that distinguish CRN: the terrace in the master cabin and the beach club at the stern and the stern hatch that turns into a big beach close to the water.
The new CRN 130 superyacht can accommodate 12 guests in 5 guest cabins, the master cabin and 14 crew members.
Circular patterns prevail in the interior design, giving it a new image of on board comfort, with fluid spaces, which open up and extend to all the other areas. There is also a minimal style and an art deco spirit that fuse with elegance and sophistication, representing modern style.
Its minimalist décor, its monochromatic interiors and its sinuous forms, create a new contemporary habitat of extreme pleasure.
She is equipped with two CATERPILLAR 3512B-Chp 1’455 kW@1835 rpm engines that cruise at the maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.
