The leading Italian builder, Benetti, launched its second Crystal 140′ BY002 yacht Luna at Viareggio last week, on March 14th. The launch of the luxury motor yacht Luna took place on the grounds of the Azimut-Benetti Group’s Lusben shipyard, situated adjacent to the Benetti headquarter.

Following the usual preliminary steps, including the traditional breaking of the bottle on the hull, the Luna yacht was lowered into the water, a ceremony attended by Owner, technical personnel, workers, and all Benetti Management and Staff involved in building this magnificent vessel that stands out for its modern and innovative design.

After the launch Ceremony, the Benetti Crystal 140′ superyacht Luna proceeded along the canal to the Darsena Italia – Via Coppino in Viareggio – where Benetti organized an private ceremony starting from 7pm in order to celebrate the delivery with the Owner and all his guests.

Benetti Crystal 140’ BY002 yacht Luna measures 42 metres in length and 9 metres in width at full beam. Its displacement is 375 tonnes. The engines are twin Cat C32 Acer delivering 1081 kW. And with a fuel reserve of 58,000 litres, the Crystal has a conventional oceanic range of 4,000 miles.

Luxury yacht Luna offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites. A repartitioning of the lower deck made it possible, thanks also to an extremely functional engine room that offers more space for four guests cabins – two with double beds and two with twin beds, and for the crew area, featuring unheard-of volumes for the comfort of the staff on board.

The interiors of Luna yacht look the sea through large windows. Among several innovations, the stern area offers a peculiar reorganization: the garage for tender, jet skis, and other equipment has been moved forward a side, allowing the entire stern area to be dedicated to a beach area that is free of all mechanical equipment and outfitted with a changing room, a shower and a bathroom, a compact galley and several armchairs.
