It has been a very successful CWM FX London Boat Show 2015, packed with global debuts of boats and products, as well as the latest in marine innovation, and attended by an amazing number of 92,288 visitors. Next year’s Show will run from January 8 to 17.

Seven world debuts
On Friday 9 January it wasn’t just the star Nicole Scherzinger who drew crowds on opening day. During the day seven boats were unveiled to the world – Bavaria Sport 400, Dauntless Oyster 500, Haines 360, Ribeye PRIME, Fairline’s Shadow S, William Performance Tenders’ Sportjet 520 and Sunseeker Predator 57.
Students see work brought to life
The students of Central Saint Martins, who created the basis of the Show’s new concept, saw the final results on opening day. The three students behind the winning design were Anna Dalmasse Trias, Yi-Chun Chen and Kuang-Yu Cheng who had studied architecture, international business and interior design respectively.
Princess Yachts commit to London
With reports coming in of first weekend success Monday (12 January) was a great day for Princess Yachts to announce its commitment to exhibit at the London Boat Show for 2016 and 2017.
As National Boat Shows MD, Murray Ellis remarked: “We are delighted that Princess Yachts has committed to the London Boat Show for the next two years, confirming the importance and value of our world class Show. The new-look direction for this year’s Show has been well received and with the support from Princess we are confident of continued future success.”
HRH The Princess Royal visits the Show
HRH The Princess Royal presented the Yachtmaster of the Year Award before taking a tour of the Show. She visited various exhibitors including Show title sponsor, CWM FX, Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation and Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR), as well as marine businesses Rockley Watersports, Key Yachting, Icom UK and Southampton Solent University where she got involved in the build of the Solent Whisper hydrofoil catamaran by infusing the resin.
Live build of Solent Whisper
Built live from scratch on the Datatag Lab the first ever production model of the hydrofoil catamaran, Solent Whisper, was completed on the last Saturday of the Show. The work of Southampton Solent University, alongside White Fromula Ltd, attracted much attention. By the end of the build worldwide orders and enquires were flooding in, from China, Europe and America.
