From January 25 to 29, Courchevel, the prominent international ski resort located in the French Alps, offering the largest skiing area in the world will host 20 international designers coming to showcase their unique original work, developed in the purest philosophy of this event: “Active Luxury Lifestyle“.

For the first time ever, the French fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Born Designers’ godfather and « pop-ambassador » of the Rossignol brand, will associate his talent to that of Jean Michel Jarre, the famous French musician designer of sounds internationally renown for an amazing fashion & music show at the top of the slopes. Since ten years ago, they have been dreaming to work together, Born Designers is offering them this exceptional opportunity!
Some of the most beautiful hotels and locations of Courchevel such as Le Cap Horn, l’Aventure, le Châlet de Pierres, les Airelles, le Lana, les Suites de la Potinière, le Cheval Blanc, le St Roch, le Tremplin, and many others will welcome the unique works of these designers in addition to several events of this Active Lifestyle week : 4 gala evenings, workshops, conferences, and introduction to poker game.
On Thursday, January 26th, in the afternoon, the exceptional ski challenge Team Pro-Am – opened to everyone on registrations – will be organized. All the funds will benefit ELA (The European Leukodystrophy Association) whose ambassador is Zinedine Zidane.
The Chinese New Year will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28th with a famous actress as MC , and whose name will be revealed later.

– Jean Michel Jarre – France – will show his revolutionary speakers system with exceptional dimensions (3 meters-high for 1058 pound) an impressive technical credentials. Called the AeroDream, this little gem of technology can accommodate your iphone, ipod and ipad with a power output of 10 000 watts!
– Ora-Ïto – France – The young genius of design whose objects are elegant, with futuristic lines and sometimes with a great sense of humor will exhibit his latest creation – done with Citroën’s collaboration – called UFO, a concept car with a futuristic look.
– Rayson Tan – Singapore/China– Founder of L’Ile aux Ashby (pronounce as « L » « OR » « ASH » « B »), is a fashion jewelry label for the discerning urbanite; designs that will encompass three distinctive attributes: quality, detail and exclusivity. He will come to Courchevel to exhibit his lastest ready to wear artwork collection.
– Hicham Lahlou – Morocco – He will install on the slopes of Courchevel the signalling system that he has developed on the highways in Morocco such as a game track.
– Arne Quinze – Belgium – will exhibit his creation Eden Park Memory, 14 works measuring 1 meter high and inspired by the goal posts of the famous Eden Park rugby stadium located in Auckland, New Zealand.
– Laurens Van Den Acker – Netherlands – The apostle of « emotional design » who became in 2009 the director of design for Renault, prepares minds to an electric turn with unique works, effective and impressive plastic beauty. In preview, he will exhibit Renault Capture, a sport crossover for couples wanting to explore the world … so totally Born!
– Xavier Dixsaut – France – The « Director of Louis Vuitton Malletier Innovation », will come to exhibit his « Soap Box », coming straight from childhood, but also a surf and a polo bike that he has created.
– Espen Oeino (Øino) – Norway – is an internationally renowned yacht designer, creator of some of the world’s most famous and outstanding yachts. He will attend Born Designers with Sunrise Yachts his creations from 164,04ft to 196,85ft and will exhibit the ship models of these eye-catching yachts.
– Jérôme Coste – France – Founder and director of creation of Les Ateliers Ruby®, he mixes his two passions for art and motorcycles and creates luxury mobility accessories. At Courchevel, he will show his brand new collection of helmets for 2012.
– Christophe Pillet – France – Director of design for Lacoste, joined the Born Designers team by installing the « Lab-Wall » of the last objects created by the brand with the crocodile, bikes, surf skis, soccer and rugby balls, boomerang… and whose particularity is that they are designed in a pure white.
– Fritsch & Durisotti – France – They will come to exhibit the Iguana 29, a big revolution in the universe of mobility. This land yacht (35 knots marine speed, 7km/hour land speed) can get in and out of the water by itself! No need to place an anchor or being an Hercules to immerse the ship, the caterpillars are here to help!
– Richard Mille – Switzerland – His watches are innovative both in their design and styling, his creations are the very embodiment of a concept of the 21st Century. Three principles guide the brand’s concept: the best in cutting edge innovative technology and a strong artistic and architectural dimension, a watch designed for ease of use and robustness yet remaining extremely sophisticated.
Each piece is finished and assembled by hand reflecting what is the best in the tradition of ‘haute horlogerie’ – The brand, official sponsor of the Brazilian pilot of Formula One, Felipe Massa has a new ambassador, the Spanish tennis player star Rafael Nadal. Richard Mille will unveil his latest watch called Phoenix that he describes as a « racing machine on the wrist » !
– Christian Grande – Italy – He will come to introduce his two latest creations, a bike called Italia Veloce mixing both tradition and Italian savoir faire, and Sacs Abarth 695 Tributo by Ferrari, a boat with a unique design inspired by the auto industry.
