Last week the Dutch shipbuilder DAMEN launched the 55m Yachts Support Vessel named ‘NEW FRONTIERS.’ The new model of the successful yacht support vessel range by DAMEN features lavish accommodation for her owner and guests, as well comfortable cruising experience. NEW FRONTIERS is scheduled for delivery in September and will make her first appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show, which will be held from 27 to 30 September.
“NEW FRONTIERS is ripping up the rule book. It’s still a Yacht Support vessel, but you can’t put this vessel into one category or another – and that reflects exactly the wishes of our clients. They want their holiday to be about freedom and spontaneity – NEW FRONTIERS makes that possible. Whether it’s a weekend dive adventure trip away from their superyacht or enjoying two locations at once linked by helicopter, it’s all about unforgettable experiences and freedom. We’re very excited to introduce NEW FRONTIERS in Monaco,” comments Commercial Director Rose Damen.
NEW FRONTIERS represents the fast-growing superyacht support vessel niche, with a total of 11 vessels being built or have been delivered. High demand for the yacht support vessels has been justified by their flexibility and capability and easy maintenance when it comes to luxury yachting. Thus, NEW FRONTIERS PROVIDES opulent accommodation, which consists of the owner’s suite on the main deck, and three guest staterooms. Among superbly designed living spaces there is a large lounge, a dining area, a 50 sq m sundeck. There is also enough room for a crew of 4, pilots, security and guides. Low noise and vibration in guest areas provide comfortable cruising experience. What is more, this yacht support vessel has a reduced draft, which allows cruising in the shallow waters.
