Damen Yachting has delivered the fourth hull in the Amels Limited Edition range, 60m (196’8″) superyacht SATEMI. She will be setting off from the shipyard in the Netherlands in the next few weeks for her maiden voyage to the Caribbean, where she will be joined by her new owners.
Her naval architect is from Damen Yachting with exteriors from Espen Øino and interiors from Studio Indigo, who were responsible for the original Amels 60 interior concepts. For this model, the owners were engaged from the outset and the result is a highly personalised and unique interior.
Tassos Papantoniou from Torrance Yachts has represented the Owners praised their involvement, “The Owners have been involved with the build for the past 24 months and have been able to set the interior exactly as they want it. They have spared no expense ensuring that their yacht is specified to the very highest standards – everything from the tenders to the dinnerware, it all results in a spectacular outcome.”
Amels focus on delivering exceptional onboard experiences and SATEMI features the Amels Limited Edition signature sun deck, plus large swim platform and owner’s suite folding balcony. Her spacious foredeck can accommodate a 9m tender adding to her overall offering for the owners.
She is equipped with plenty of advanced technology, including an IMO Tier III-compliant hybrid power and propulsion system which has impressed her new captain Mattia Dzaja. He had this to say, “I have reviewed the system specification, and I am impressed. The benefits of this system and the reduced environmental impact are obvious, but what I love most is the additional safety it will provide us when we are cruising.”
The launch of luxury yacht SATEMI is a great start to 2024 for Damen Yachting, with Project Manager commenting, “It’s been great to see how all parties involved have pulled together and have put in so much effort during this busy project. The result of their work speaks for itself; the yacht looks stunning. We hope that the Owners will enjoy stepping on board for the first time this year.”
Having delivered the final model of 2023 and with three more units in build, the Amels 60 is becoming one of the yard’s most sought-after design in both looks and proven technical capabilities.
Her owners are no doubt excited for her arrival in the Caribbean, where the crystal-clear waters will make any yacht feel at home. For your own blissful Caribbean adventure, contact us now for a personalised list of available charter yachts which meet your needs.
