August 2013 saw the prominent luxury yacht builder, Danish Yachts, play a host to two Royal guests within one week. One of these was Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, having disembarked from the Royal Yacht HMDY Dannebrog in front of the shipyard in Skagen.
She toured the shipyard with great enthusiasm, and took a specific interest in our modern techniques using carbon composite construction in both the commercial and superyacht markets – which was explained to her in detail by members of the production team during her tour.
The whole team at Danish Yachts were extremely proud to welcome the Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark to the shipyard.
Earlier in the week the company was honoured to welcome Royal VIP guests, to both Danish Yachts and its sister hotel ‘Ruth’s Hotel. This made for an otherwise quite normal Tuesday when 125 metre motor yacht Katara, designed by Espen Øino who also designed Danish Yachts superyacht Shooting Star – the AeroCruiser 38m, berthed outside the shipyard.
