The new Dariel DT 14 CL superyacht tender is a boat to do the “dirty work”, a rib for all weather conditions offering a high performance and a navy keel with attentive construction and surprising lines. The new Dariel DT 14 CL superyacht tender has been dubbed, ‘the land rover of the sea’.
The Dariel DT14CL is the first fruit of the collaboration between the shipyard of Adro and the design company h3o. The project rolls around two main elements: the large central console, and an easy adaptable and multi-functional deck. The first is a really helm-station, wrapping, strong, a structural form that “crowns” crews and protects from air and bad weather, with an extensive windshield and a roof in polycarbonate (about 6 square meters). It’s the heart of the boat, with two berths inside and a bathroom. The deck area is a true example of adaptability: thanks to an obsessive effort to eliminate the superfluous that has left space to what one really needs to sail, the deck can be easily modified from cruising style, with sofas, sun deck, living and conversation area, to heavy duty work-boat one, with the entire deck clear, to be used for the board sails and instrumentation. There is a wide range of choice for the motorizations, to be chosen between inboard and outboard engines, diesel or gasoline, till to the TOP version with Rolls-Royce Jet transmissions. The construction of Dariel DT 14 CL yacht tender is realized by a lamination with vinilestere resins, by an evacum system and post firing in oven at a temperature of 70°, for ten hours.
Andrea Colli, designer of h3o, says: “Watchwords, in the design phase, were rationality and functionality. We planned to realize a luxury object, but not full of rare and expensive things. Then we realized a boat that allows to make true experiences, to sail with all kind of weather. A all-around boat, capable to be adaptable according to the desires of the ship owner. The hardest work was to remove, to eliminate, leaving the essential and the functional “.
Enrico Prandoni, CFO of Dariel, says: “With DT14CL (CL is for Custom Line) we didn’t want to introduce in the market the usual fast, winning and luxurious “Big R.I.B.”. Our standard customer navigates through all seas, cruising or racing, and looks for a technical tender for a safety and reliable work, at the top of the performances. Like a Land Rover of the sea. Once we found the keel, we wondered why it wasn’t possible to obtain a Land Rover with a modern design and high level finishes. DT14CL is the answer to all this, it will be an exclusive boat, sole and incomparable”.

About h3o: was founded in 2008, but boat-building and design has been in its DNA for fifty years. Andrea Colli’s family has been working in the world of boats since the 1960s. The family’s other companies included Motomar Floating Marshall, one of the most prestigious names in Italian rib manufacturing (which was sold in 2001), and Nautica Colli. In this company Andrea Colli, with Mario Bonelli, created and designed some of the Pirelli PZero ribs for Tecnorib (licensee of PZero Pirelli rib brand). One of H3o’s shareholders is Sireg, a company founded in 1936 and now market leader in geotechnics and in the realisation of products using composite materials (fibreglass, carbon fibre, aramid fibre). Sireg is based in Arcore, Milano, and has 50 employees, working in a factory of 20,000m². Sireg has also a long experience in the field of motorboat- building: at the beginning of the 1990s it created a Class 1 Offshore team, Sireg Team. Members of the h3o design team are: Andrea Colli, Mario Bonelli, Matteo Vandoni e Alessio Betteni.
