Ancona-based Italian shipyard, Cantiere delle Marche (CdM), has proudly announced the recent launch of the sixth Darwin Class 86’ explorer yacht STELLA DEL NORD. A sister ship to the highly successful superyacht PERCHERON, the brand new motor yacht STELLA DEL NORD boasts beautiful interiors, created by Studio PFA Design. Her style is light and contemporary, with elegant lines and soft, modern shapes.

Luxury yacht STELLA DEL NORD represents the first model of “Darwin 2.0” series: the panoramic windows in the salons of the main deck as well as the upper deck match with the lowered bulwarks to provide fantastic views from inside the vessel. Different and sleeker bow windows as well as lines are only some of the features that give a more contemporary and cutting edge style to the Darwin Class line.

The interiors have been designed around the theme of lightness and light. This has been achieved through simple combinations, utilizing a palette of luxury and carefully selected materials, including the natural elm, the open-pore white lacquered wood, travertine, and warm natural fabrics. Accommodation aboard STELLA DEL NORD yacht is offered in the master cabin and the VIP cabin in the bow, both full beam. As required by the owner’s family, a special attention was paid to the study of outdoor spaces, especially the area of the sun deck, which boasts a gas barbecue and bar area, a dining area with a large sofa and chairs, as well as a pilot station.

CdM CEO, Ennio Cecchini, personally supervised this project and proudly declares: “In many years of yachting neither my men nor I remember a launch of a boat at this level of quality and completion. Cantiere delle Marche continues its course of success, marked by a series of launches throughout this 2015 season. July will see the shipyard launch the flagship Darwin Class 107′ motor yacht STORM. She will make her premiere together with STELLA DEL NORD and the Nauta Air 90 motor yacht NOGA at the 2015 Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Moreover, the Darwin Class 102′ motor yacht ACALA is expected to leave Ancona for Fort Lauderdale to be displayed at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2015 in November.
The shipyard is presently working on the construction of a Nauta Air 108, a Nauta Air 111 and a Darwin Class 102. Furthermore, two contracts are going to be completed very soon for another two Nauta Air 111 yachts, to be built on two different naval platforms, which will be of 299 GRT and 330 GRT.
