The upcoming Monaco Yacht Show will see the leading interior designer and exterior stylist, Design Unlimited, reveal the design for an innovative 50-metre motor yacht K NYX, being developed in partnership with custom superyacht yard, Pendennis. The 50m superyacht K NYX concept is part of celebrations, being organised by Pendennis to mark its 25th anniversary.
Design Unlimited K NYX Yacht Concept - Profile
The 50-metre Pendennis motor yacht K NYX concept introduces a vibrant lifestyle feel to the pleasures of being afloat, with a seamless integration of interior and exterior spaces. The result is a visually striking yacht marked out by an environment that is filled with natural light and which opens up outstanding vistas of its surroundings.
The exterior styling is uncompromisingly modern and purposeful, yet its innate simplicity gives an elegance to the form that will not become dated over time. Generous deck spaces allow the owner and guests plenty of room for relaxation and socialising in the open air and the main saloon with its floor to ceiling windows makes it a virtual continuation of the aft deck while being well protected from the elements. At night the light from these windows and the geodesic sky lounge glazing will radiate out across the harbour, creating a dramatic effect that emphasises the yacht’s long, sweeping curves.
The ingenious deck layout allows a choice of the main pool on the aft deck with its view down to the beach deck and bar, or alternatively the sunpads and spa pool on the upper deck above the wheel house. Guests can also take advantage of the gym and fitness area on the lower deck, as well as the tenders, dinghies and other water sports equipment kept in the adjacent generous garage.
While initial interest has been in a 50-metre version falling within the 500GT threshold, the design and styling allow for flexible interpretation. A 75-metre version is also under development that will magnify all the lifestyle benefits while allowing more space for family and friends and an even greater variety of amenities.
