D-Marin Gocek superyacht marina has received the prominent 2012 Skalite Tourism Award in the marina management category. The prize was given by Skal International Istanbul, the Turkish arm of Skål Club, as well as the largest organization of travel and tourism professionals in the world. The 15th Annual Skalite ‘Quality in Tourism’ Awards were presented at a ceremony at Hilton Convention Centre in Istanbul on 13 December.
D-Marin Göcek’s second accolade was for quality in marina management, going home with the ‘Quality Management Award’ from the Professional Hotel Managers Association established to highlight the importance of quality management in the tourism industry.
The prizes did not stop there with D-Marin Turgutreis marina becoming the Turkish superyacht marina network’s fifth time Skalite award winner, scooping the award with the Classical Music Festival in Skal Turkish Regional Clubs category.
