D-Marin Marinas Group is pleased to announce its presence at the Monaco Yacht Show 2012 (MYS). This Doğuş Group company was established 9 years ago to set a new benchmark in design as well as operations of marina destinations.
The luxury marinas group, with six marinas in Turkey and Croatia, and with a growing global portfolio, will this year sponsor The Superyacht Owners’ Lounge (TSOL) at MYS. This exclusive venue for owners, VIPs and elite partners of TSOL’s hosts, will provide a strong platform to communicate the major strides taken by D-Marin in 2012.
Foremost of these is the Group’s recent acquisition of two marinas, Marina Dalmacija and Marina Borik, Croatia. D-Marin Dalmacija is the highest capacity marina in the Eastern Mediterranean basin with 1,200 berths in which 40 cater for superyachts up to 60m. D-Marin Borik, a charming, boutique marina has 177 berths with a maximum capacity for yachts up to 40m.
D-Marin will be unveiling plans to upgrade these strategically located marinas in line with D-Marin’s exceptional standards of luxury, technical facilities and emphasis on hospitality. D-Marin has pledged considerable injection of capital to achieve this. A phenomenal €17 million has been projected for D-Marin Dalmacija alone.
The second major announcement for Monaco is the appointment of Matthew Bate, CEO of D-Marin. Bate, brings extensive knowledge and experience in the development and global operations of marina and luxury waterfront destinations.
Looking ahead to Monaco, he said, “I am excited to be representing D-Marin at Monaco Yacht Show in such a significant period of the company’s growth.”
“Our goal for D-Marin is to provide all sectors of the industry with unique and world-class facilities that combined create an international network of marina destinations under the luxury D-Marin brand. With nearly 5,000 wet and dry berths within our portfolio we are well on our way to achieving this. I’m looking forward to sharing D-Marin’s vision to industry leaders at Monaco in preparation for our major splash on the international stage.”
Last year at Monaco, D-Marin gave a preview of a major marina expansion at D-Marin Mandalina, Croatia. Since then, this expansion which saw 79 new berths added for superyachts up to 140m has been up and running successfully since spring and D-Marin will be pleased to report a tremendous first six months of operation. More on this will be unveiled at the show.
