Dometic Marine, the world’s leading supplier of marine air conditioning and sanitation systems, has recently appointed Dennis Chiang as OEM and Aftermarket Sales Manager for the Asia Pacific. Chiang will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining product sales within the region.
With a strong background in the marine industry nearing 20 years, Chiang brings to the role a wealth of sales knowledge and managerial experience. Having previously worked with Dometic Marine at the distributor level, he also has extensive understanding of the Cruisair(®), Marine Air and SeaLand(®) product lines.
Chiang, who speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay, will be based in Singapore. Commenting on his new role, he said: “I started my career in the marine industry 17 years ago in new boat sales, progressed to managing chandlery sales and then distributing products for Dometic Marine. I am confident that my previous experience and enthusiasm for Dometic’s innovative product range will enable me to educate the huge distributor network on new developments as well as enhance sales.”
Chiang will be working closely with Ben Haynes, International Technical Sales Manager. Haynes commented: “As a former manager of one of Dometic’s biggest distributors in the Asia Pacific, Dennis is very aware of the current marine market and being multilingual means he is able to build strong relationships with both OEM and Aftermarket customers within this important region.”
