Dominator has announced the creation of a new 38m/125ft flagship, KALLIENTE II, due in 2019. Built for a repeat client, her 28m predecessor KALLIENTE was launched earlier this year, however a change in circumstances for owner Owner Terry Giles presented the opportunity to upgrade to a larger, more customised yacht.
“We loved the Ilumen so much that we realised we want to make yachting a bigger part of our life,” Terry Giles explained. “We are working now on the plans for this special model that Dominator is designing to fit our unique needs, which includes being equipped for US waters.” He has sold his European business and will oversee the reconstruction of his Houston home, which was damaged extensively during Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 major hurricane which stuck in mid-August.
The 28m/92ft KALLIENTE is currently up for sale and features a modern interior that uses oak and zebrano wood, ebony and back-lit white onyx for a finely crafted finish and is able to sleep 10 guests as well as 3 crew members. Extensive windows and lighting throughout the interiors are a strong and carefully considered design feature, as reflected in the series name ‘Ilumen‘.
