Dominator Yachts has used the occasion of the Cannes Yachting Festival 2019 to announce a new model in its series, the 42M ILUMEN, the first hull currently being constructed for a German client and named luxury yacht PEPPERMINT.
The engineering and design team made use of a full weight analysis to create a highly advanced structural layout that uses a carbon fibre sandwich and vacuum infusion technology. A High-Performance Hull (HPH) with a bulbous bow will produce excellent fuel efficiency and stability, and the tri-deck luxury yacht will be the only vessel in its size to carry out transatlantic crossings with a range of 4,500 nautical miles and a top speed of 19.5 knots, offering a choice of semi-displacement and displacement hulls.
M/Y PEPPERMINT also comes with an impressive list of amenities, including the option of a helideck on the bow, a wellness area and yoga, Jacuzzi and for extended journeys a teleconference screen, printers and scanners.
Within, each deck has a different geographical theme: The flybridge has a Middle Eastern theme complete with its own hookah lounge and traditional bar in subdued colours.
The accommodation is flexible depending on the Owner’s wishes and features a Master suite on the main deck forward with a private deck out front, from which guests can access the Jacuzzi on the floor above. A retractable ‘moon roof’ over the Master suite allows the moonlight, starlight or sunshine to enter the room for a greater connection to nature. Four further guest suites are situated on the lower deck, accommodating a total of 10 guests.
Superyacht PEPPERMINT is due for completion in three years’ time when she will make her public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022.
