The Stratis and Doyle Sails NZ team will be attending the upcoming METS, running from November 19 to 21, 2013. The team will be on hand on the Doyle Sails stand, which will be located in the Superyacht Pavilion (Stand No. 10.715).
Chris McMaster, Managing Director, and Matt Bridge, Superyacht Sail Coordinator, will be representing Stratis and Doyle NZ alongside other members of the Doyle global team.
2013 has been an exciting year for Doyle Stratis with the launch of their new Stratis ICE sail fibre, which has been nominated by the jury as a finalist in the DAME Awards. Interest in ICE has already been high and 37m charter yacht Moonbird and 30.5m superyacht Indio have both commissioned a full set of new Stratis ICE sails with sail trials scheduled before the end of the year. Doyle Stratis welcome all inquiries about ICE and the Stratis range; more information and samples are available on their stand.
The company has seen fantastic results in both the racing and superyacht sectors in 2013, with Stratis consistently proving itself as the performance sail of choice.

RACING OVERVIEW
2013 began on a high when Alex Thomson took third place in the Vendee Globe on Hugo Boss, becoming the fastest Britain to sail round the world on a monohull. It was an achievement that was all the more impressive considering Thomson was racing on an old-generation design. The racing success for Doyle yachts continued throughout the year’s busy race calendar. In the Transpac 63’ Invisible Hand took first place in Division 1, Ragamuffin 100 took line honours and third place in Division 1, while second place in Division 1 went to Wizard, which had a new jib from Doyle on board for the race.
100′ Leopard took line honours in the RORC C600 in February, then broke the record for the Round the Island race in June, before taking monohull line honours in the RORC Cowes -St Malo Race in July. 72′ Shockwave’s wins included Key West Race Week and 2013 Montego Bay Race. Meanwhile Ragamuffin 90 took line honours and set a new course record in the Hong Kong to Vietnam race. Here in New Zealand Doyle-powered yachts dominated in the Coastal Classic, with Team Australia (Orma 60) winning on the line and Omega 8 (Bakewell-White 41) winning overall by handicap.
