The new 175-ton Drettmann Explorer Yacht 24 (DEY24) has been recently safely delivered from the shipyard onto the transport pontoon. To be showcased at this month’s boot Düsseldorf as the largest vessel on display, this striking 24-metre explorer started its journey from the shipyard to Düsseldorf four weeks before the show’s opening.
Only after the hall door was enlarged to accommodate Drettmann’s new explorer was it possible for the specialists to transport the vessel across the street to the waiting heavy-load pontoon. This alone took 24 hours. Afterwards it sailed on the Rhein to Düsseldorf, where another heavy-load transport brought the DEY 24 the last meters to its exhibition stand in Hall 6.
“This yacht is guiding us into a new era and will cause a sensation on the market,“ explains Claudia Drettmann, managing director of Drettmann Yachts, the Bremen-based family business. “The yacht‘s technical equipment is extremely complex, the space is above average, and the quality standards are equivalent to much larger ships.“
DEY 24 is the first superyacht of this class to be fitted with the highly innovative diesel electric POD propulsion. For its size, it features a completely new room concept that integrates a spacious beach club with a sauna and lounge area astern.
During the event, set to run from January 23 to 31, the DEY 24 will be exhibited in Hall 6, Stand A59.
