Drettmann Yachts have presented two new superyacht lines developed since the German Drettmann Group and the Turkish Sunrise Yachts merged resulted in the Drettmann Sunrise Group. The new Drettmann Motor Yachts (DMY) and the Drettmann Explorer Yachts (DEY) concepts are designed by Focus Yacht Design.
The Drettmann Motor Yachts (DMY) that measure between 20-40 m feature exterior design that does away with the traditional separation between hull and superstructure, creating a visual link between the decks instead. The Drettmann Motor Yachts (DMY) boasts both a spacious interior and a sleek silhouette with a dynamic gracefulness. Some of the novel features that a DMY can offer are equally impressive: whether a large beach area at the stern, a bathing platform or a saloon which is open on three sides, all afford more space for the ultimate yachting experience. A t this stage the range consists of four models with lengths between 20 and 37 metres.
The 32m model accommodates 10 guests in a master suite forward on the main deck and four doubles cabins on the lower deck.
The Drettmann Explorer Yachts (DEY) are designed to experience the sea at first hand, to explore new territory and to enjoy water sports. The 27 to 37-metre Drettmann Explorer Yachts have a masculine exterior and are compact yet have a surprisingly spacious interior. The yachts have ample room on board for tenders, diving equipment and water toys while still retaining characteristics you would expect on a luxury yacht such as comfort, elegance and prestige. The iconic yachts are far removed from the mainstream and primed for adventure. Built in steel and aluminium, the Drettmann Explorer Yachts (DEY) range consists of three models between 27 and 37 metres.
The yacht concepts were presented at The Düsseldorf Boat Show where they received a positive response. The first yacht could be presented as early as the end of 2012.
