The German shipyard, Drettmann Yachts is holding its course and was fully content with its performance as exhibitor at the 2012 Düsseldorf Boat Show. The market is recovering and the company had a great success with new booking orders.
This year, Drettmann Yachts was set to impress at the 2012 Düsseldorf Boat Show with the first models and the latest 3D animations of the new Drettmann Motor Yacht (DMY) and Drettmann Explorer Yacht (DEY) line, as well as a real Elegance 60 from its brokerage programme.
The new vessels attracted a great deal of interest and it was noticeable in particular that Drettmann’s newly designed yachts are based on a concept which means they are not only good to look at, but also meticulously planned to offer maximum functionality. These are the first yachts in this class to offer extras such as a beach club at the stern, a garage for the tender at the bow and many more interesting features, all of which create unique selling propositions for the new range.
“We and our customers can hardly wait for the new yachts to be built,” exclaims Claudia Drettmann. “The company is already working on the contracts”.
Claudia and Albert Drettmann have insisted that the new yacht lines are produced strictly in accordance with “Made in Germany” standards. “We are proud to say that we did our homework first during the development phase, before we started production,” they explain.
They worked their way systematically through a comprehensive checklist from engineering to tank test, before construction work on the first yacht in the new series began at the end of the year.
“We are also well pleased with the overall outcome of the Boat Show for our brokerage programme, as we were able to help many of our clients find a new pre-owned yacht,” comments Albert Drettmann. The Elegance 60 from the Drettmann brokerage programme that the couple “took along” to the show proved to be an enormous attraction and was promptly sold. The steadily rising sales figures indicate that the market is gradually recovering.
