This year’s 21st edition of the Dubai International Boat Show will open its doors today. The event is expected to attract over 26,000 visitors, making it one of the most important marine shows on the yachting industry calendar.
The hugely anticipated event, held at the Dubai International Club in Mina Seyahi, is expected to draw crowds from all four corners of the globe who all share the same passion for yachts.
And they will have surely come to the right place. Over five days the marine show, which finishes on Saturday, will host 750 companies and brands from 49 countries all showcasing their products including 430 boats and 19 luxurious superyachts.
The yachts being exhibited at the Dubai International Boat Show, the region’s leading leisure marine event, share a collective value of more than Dh1 billion (0.2 billion euro).
The event, which boasts its very own supercar promenade and a section dedicated to diving in the United Arab Emirates, is set to showcase a total of 30 global and regional launches which goes to demonstrate the importance of Dubai in the global yachting industry.
Companies to choose the Dubai International Boat Show as the venue to launch their debuts include Al Shaali Marine, IMG Boats and Van Dutch, amongst others.
Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO of event organisers’ Dubai World Trade Centre and Director General of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said: “This year’s impressive line-up of global and regional launches and the large increase in international participation serves as a true barometer of the stability and strength of the regional marine industry.”
The Dubai International Boat Show will run from today until Saturday, from 3pm until 9.30pm. A free shuttle bus service will be provided from the parking locations at the Gateway Towers (At the Nakheel multi-storey parking), Skydive Dubai and Dubai Marina Mall.
Tickets for visitors will be available at the entrance to the show, priced at AED 60 (12.50 euro).
