Dubai International Boat Show, the region’s largest and longest running leisure marine event, was awarded ‘Best Consumer Event’ by a distinguished panel of key industry professionals at the recent Middle East Event Awards, held on 1st June 2011 in Dubai.

This highly coveted award is one of a string of accolades given to the Dubai International Boat Show, after being named the ‘Marine Event of the Year’ for the 3rd consecutive year at the Arabian Gulf Yachting Awards in 2010. The show was also recognised for ‘Innovation and Excellence in the Leisure Marine Industry’ at the World of Yachts and Boats Awards for Excellence in Beirut, Lebanon.
As one of the world’s leading international boat shows, the 2011 event generated an estimated AED1 billion worth of business for the boating and leisure marine community and has successfully acted as the lynchpin of global marine investment into the region for 19 years.
The top accolade reflects the constant drive not only for business excellence, but also for the consistently high calibre of exhibitors and visitors which make the show an essential date in the marine calendar.
Dubai International Boat Show celebrates its 20th Anniversary next year from 13-17 March at the Dubai International Marine Club.
