Last week saw the Italian shipyard, Sanlorenzo, celebrate the eagerly awaited launch of expedition yacht 460EXP – the first explorer unit of its range. Built to the highest construction standards, luxury motor yacht 460EXP can be characterized by high technology and comfort on board, as well as remarkable cruising self-sufficiency and endurance. She will be unveiled at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show on September 23, where Sanlorenzo will also display the 46Steel superyacht SCORPION.

Measuring 42,2m in length, superyacht 460EXP is a robust displacement vessel in steel and aluminium, spanning over five generous decks. She boasts strong and imposing external lines, that evoke the big exploration ships that cruise in remote and unknown areas.

The main deck of Sanlorenzo’s 460EXP yacht can host a large tender, water toys, sailing or fishing boats, surf boards, etc. while cruising. When at anchor and free of equipment, the main deck can become a wide solarium with a large and heated ‘endless swimming pool’, in which guests can swim againt an artificial current.
The lower deck of luxury yacht 460EXP hosts a beach club with a bar and an exclusive terrace on the sea, thanks to the fully openable stern, along with 5 lovely guest cabins. Moreover, the vessel also boasts a fitness room, a generous owner’s suite and two large saloons on the main and upper deck.

In terms of performance, 460EXP superyacht is capable of covering more than 4000 nautical miles autonomously at an economical speed of 11 knots. She is run by twin CAT C32 Acert diesel engines.
