Today, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 saw the official launch of the 2015 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), set to open its doors in only three weeks. To mark the countdown to the 27th SCIBS, pro-golfer, Terry Price, teed off from the flybridge of the beautiful $5 million Horizon E88 yacht. Luxury motor yacht E88 by Horizon represents the largest and most expensive vessel for sale to be displayed at this year’s Show.
The SCIBS 2015 will be packed with the latest boats, world product launches, innovative gear and gadgets, as well as a rich events program bursting with family-friendly entertainment. “We are proud of how this year’s SCIBS is shaping up,” says boat show general manager, Johan Hasser.
The four-day event is expected to host more than 40,000 visitors. “For visitors new to SCIBS and those who have been before, there are hundreds of new boats, power and sail, and marine companies who will be bringing their innovative, top-of-the-range products,” says Mr Hasser.
The Channel Seven stage will feature cooking demonstrations from the MKR team, and sailing presentations from Go Bareboating, as well as fishing tips from Paul Burt. The SCIBS Kids’ Zone will have a lot on offer to keep the younger set happy, while mum and dad can enjoy the exhibitors in the Main Pavilion, throughout the Marine Village, in the Superyacht Pavilion and on the marina.
The Women on Water ladies’ lunch, set to be held on Friday 22 May at the InterContinental Hotel & Resort, will feature guest speaker “Real Housewives of Melbourne” star, barrister, mother of two, author and bona fide fashionista, Gina Liano. Gina has an amazing tale to tell of making it in a man’s world, as well as surmounting the challenges of cancer.
This will be the 10th SCIBS for Horizon Motor Yachts Australia, whose Australian headquarters is idyllically situated on the marina at Sanctuary Cove. Horizon is currently running a promotion in the lead up to SCIBS, offering one lucky person an unforgettable cruise on the lovely V72 yacht with their own personal chef from the InterContinental Hotel Resort.
Set to take place from May 21 to 24, this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is expected to host more than 500 boats and marine products across four days.
