The 68m luxury catamaran concept Merveille 223W was presented by Merveille Yachting in collaboration with VPLP Design. This eco-friendly vessel is capable of staying away from marinas and harbours for a prolonged period of time, while her power comes from a wingsail propulsion Oceanwings® which is fully computer operated.
Mark Van Peteghem, the co-founder of VPLP said: “Oceanwings® provides a simple, efficient and reliable alternative to regular engines. We are delighted that Merveille Yachting has retained this solution for their breathtaking Eco-explorer.”
Azimut pods will generate alternative propulsion whenever needed. Another special feature of catamaran Merveille 223W is the batteries that can be recharged by the wind and underwater.
Accommodation onboard is provided for 12 guests, while the interior layout can be fully customised using eco-friendly and local materials.
The eco-friendly concept continues with a garden on board the yacht, which allows growing vegetables. The abundance of glazing throughout the catamaran allows plenty of natural sunlight to light up indoor space.
Among luxury amenities are a spa, gymnasium, beach club, touch-and-go helipad, a swimming pool and a tender garage.
