The inaugural Thailand Yacht Show will be officially opened by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on Thursday, February 11, 2016, demonstrating Government’s support for the new event. To promote Thailand as an international operational base for superyacht charters, the Show will run at Ao Po Grand Marina from February 8 to 14, 2016.
Show organiser, Andy Treadwell, commented: “I have worked with a lot of governments, but never with a more proactive and enthusiastic one, who completely understand the potential benefits for the local community and are totally dedicated to developing a successful future for yachting in Thailand. And it is not just about the superyachts. We are delighted that some of the biggest local and regional dealers are all fully behind the government’s initiative, and are supporting the Show with a good number of smaller boats, as well as the large yachts they have for sale or charter.”
This major new yachting event continues to attract the elite of the superyacht industry. It is expected to host an exciting and diverse range of vessels, including the imposing 73-metre M/Y TITANIA, built by the leading German shipyard Lurssen, and perfect for family entertainment, as well as the breath-taking 69m M/Y SALUZI, providing deluxe accommodation for 32 guests over five generous decks.
The beautiful 50m M/Y NORTHERN SUN will also join the impressive fleet of vessels on display at the 2016 Thailand Yacht Show, proudly showcasing her elegant and sleek living areas. The lovely 32m M/Y NANOU, built by Benetti Yachts, is also expected to be present at the Show. Perfect for entertaining, she boasts a great variety of leisure and entertainment facilities.
