The Sanlorenzo Superyacht Division has successfully launched the brand new motor yacht SCORPION. Luxury superyacht SCORPION represents the eighth vessel of the popular 46Steel line, which first unit was launched in 2010.
Built for a Russian owner, the timeless SCORPION yacht is a beautiful five-deck displacement vessel in steel, designed and constructed to provide long cruises across the oceans in total self-sufficiency, without refueling for more than 3,500 nautical miles.
Made to measure according to the needs of her owner, luxury yacht SCORPION boasts amazing openable windows in the master cabin, a built-in hydraulic ladder astern, a generous garage astern that can store the main 7-meter tender and a second large garage at bow with ample space for any water toys. Moreover, the vessel features a breath-taking external lighting system, providing a multicolor effect switching to different chromatic shades.
The interiors of SCORPION superyacht are of an art deco style with furniture by Architema and Fendi, together with chairs and sofas specially built on design. The finishing is made in bronze brass, the inlays are in mother-of-pearl while the woods selected for the interiors go from the dark mahogany wood to the lighter “Abice artico” wood. The staircase features a high crystal sculpture that changes its color at every deck, from blue to turquoise-green. Furthermore, all the mosaics aboard this striking vessel are from Moscow.
The Sanlorenzo Superyacht Division is presently working on 2 further new models: the first two 42m 460EXP yachts, that are due to be launched at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015 in September, and the first two 52m displacement superyachts belonging to the new Sanlorenzo flagship 52Steel range, that are expected to be launched next year.
