Built as a sistership to the original T680 FENICE, this new Tankoa model – the T520 FENICE, named aft the famous Venetian opera house – captures the same grace, space, charm and ingenuity of her larger predecessor.
“We once again asked Enrico Gobbi of the Venetian studio Team for Design to compose this second masterpiece, which not only sits perfectly in the 50-metre segment where Tankoa has always been very strong, but which also further highlights our capabilities as a true boutique shipyard able to satisfy every need with unique projects,” says Vincenzo Poerio, CEO at Tankoa.
The yacht shows off her classic elegance and has been designed by drawing influence from contemporary classic yacht design with elements of automotive and aeronautical styling. The holistic design ensures the inside and outside blend seamlessly with innovative spaces created with guests in mind.
“Careful attention to proportional design has meant sleek, elegant and dynamic lines offering spacious and generous areas on board – a significant achievement that considerably enhances the owner and guest experience,” says Enrico Gobbi, CEO of Team for Design.
He continued, “The streamlined forms are reminiscent of jet and automotive aesthetics, imparting a feeling of lightness and agility, while the grey hull, with anthracite accents, further underscores the influence of car design, while maintaining the luxurious appeal of a superyacht.”
One of the standout features on board is the stern area which forms a series of interconnected spaces on different levels to reflect their functions. There is a panoramic cockpit overlooking an infinity pool which is surrounded by two large sunpads. Water flows down a channel to the pool linking it with the beach club below. The three-dimensional effect works to connect the cockpit, beach club, swim platform and even the lower-deck gym.
The aft terrace pool is one of three on board, which also include a forward spa on the sun deck and a pool on the foredeck. There are plenty of al fresco entertainment spaces to entice guests, such as the 12-seater dining setting on the upper deck and semi-enclosed glass salon on the sun deck.
Large glass windows create visual and functional continuity between the interior and exterior spaces and the commonality in the material used creates even more harmony. Uninterrupted teak decks, continuous ceilings and well-crafted architecture lines flow effortlessly throughout.
Across the bridge, main and lower deck there are six fabulous staterooms to accommodate up to twelve guests: the bridge deck is home to the VIP suite, the full-beam master is on the main deck, while four guest suites are on the lower deck. All six suites are accompanied by luxury ensuite bathroom facilities with the master also having a study area and private starboard terrace.
Superior guest spaces are also placed across the three levels and include a lovely upper salon with amazing views, a main salon with formal lounge and dining plus a beach club and gym on the lower complete with state-of-the-art equipment and sauna leading out to the beach platform.
“This new yacht shows once again that interweaving numerous melodies in terms of design and functionality while still offering owners flexibility for personalising their yacht to their needs is a core strength that differentiates Tankoa in the market,” says Giuseppe Mazza Tankoa’s sales manager. “She is another virtuoso performance, perfect for discerning owners who enjoy the quiet refinement we offer that enables us to cater to their every need while delivering a unique yacht of unsurpassed quality.”
We will follow her progress and look forward to sharing more about this exciting and unique project. For information about Tankoa yachts available for charter take a look through our listings.
